Bunk-bed made by Matt!

Ever since we found out that we were expecting baby #3 (and actually, even before), Matt and I toyed with the idea of getting bunk-beds for Isaac and Rose so that they can share a room when the newbie arrives. After looking around and seeing how expensive pre-made ones are, Matt decided that he could build one himself for half the cost. So about a month ago, he started brainstorming and getting ideas online. After a week or so, he finally got materials (or "terials" as Isaac says").

These will eventually turn into a bunk-bed!

Over the next few weeks Matt worked on the bunk-bed whenever he was able to and slowly the pile of wood started to form into the makings of a bunk-bed.

 Polyurethane applied to the one of the left, not applied 

to the one on the right. Gonna look awesome!

Few coats of Polyurethane applied to all the pieces. 

At this point, all the pieces are ready to go, but he was waiting on some special bolts in the mail. We expected them to arrive next Monday or Tuesday, however, they arrived today! So.... The bunk-bed was assembled this evening!

Next up for Matt to build is some stairs so Isaac can go up and down without help haha. Fun part is going to be keeping Rose down! She is still sleeping in her own room right now though. I'm thinking around her 2nd birthday maybe we will transition her to the bottom bunk.
