Halloween 2013!

Another Halloween has come and gone. The kids were really looking forward to it this year. Rose got all excited every time she saw a ghost, pumpkin or witch and had to make sure to point them out whenever she saw one. Isaac kept going back and forth if he was scared of things or not (he even said he wasn't going to Trick or Treating but changed it later when he found out his friends were going).

Here are pics leading up to Halloween and of Halloween night.

First up is pics from the Boo Bash that we went to at the community center on base.

"Dash" and "Woody" posing for the camera.

 These boys are so silly

Rose chose her Minnie Mouse costume for tonight.

 Playing with the balloons

This face is waaaaay to funny!

Rose watching the other kids dance

She kept holding onto the little charm on the dress

Pics of just around the house.
He got Halloween playing cards in the mail that he was trying to make into an "S".

 New letter magnets too

Rose had picked out toy at the store the other day and it was a little tiara with clip on earrings. She loved the earrings! Such a little girl!

Rose climbed into the box and Isaac and her pretended it was a train.

 Chugga, chugga, chugga, chugga….

Choo choo!

Halloween!

Helping take the "pumpkin guts" out. This was the night before Halloween.

He actually put his hand in this year! The previous he wouldn't do it haha

 Rose helping out now :)

 Our Witch pumpkin

Our ghost on the white pumpkin the kids picked out

We got enough candy to hand out that it barely fit in the 5gal Home Depot bucket!

Isaac and Rose, ready to Trick or Treat!
Isaac is Dash from The Incredibles and Rose is Sofia from Sofia the First :)

 Rosie

Isaac. His mask kept shifting so he ended up taking it off

I think she was saying Trick or Treat haha

 My little Princess

Isaac and his buddy Berkley dressed as Batman (he even did the voice and everything!)

At the end of the night, this was all the candy we had left from our 5gal bucket.. I say we bought just enough!

Trick or Treating went very well. Both kids were troopers and walked the whole time we were out (about an hour) which is a good thing since I didn't even bother to bring a stroller. I got tired out before the kids did haha. Isaac, who had been telling me he didn't want to go because he was scared, ended up not being scared of anything, even the houses that were dark/scary while walking up to them. Rose surprised me by how well she was willing to walk and hold my hand. Her tiara she was wearing kept slipping down her face and she would stop, push it back up, and keep on walking. I tried taking it off she wouldn't have to get bothered by it, but she wouldn't let me. These kids are getting so big!

Speaking of big, here is an updated belly picture of me with baby #3! I am 24weeks along in this picture:

That's all for now! Hope everyone else and a safe and fun Halloween!

Halloween x2!

This year the kids got to celebrate Halloween TWICE. The first time was on Halloween day (Oct 31st) and the second time during their cousin's birthday party where the town they lived in did trick-or-treating that Saturday instead of on Halloween due to Hurricane Sandy.

Here are non-Halloween pics first:
Both climbing up on the step-stool.

She likes to look through books now.

Such a lady, always crossing her feet

And now.... a big collection of Halloween pics!

Helping taking out the pumpkin guts...

Which didn't last long because it was "yucky"

 Rose watching, skeptically

 Playing with the seeds

Final product
We had one big one, which Matt carved. Then we had five smaller ones from when we went to the pumpkin patch. I let Isaac cover two of them in Halloween stickers and then he and Rose each painted one. It was messy and fun :)

Proud of her work

All pumpkins ready to be set out

I actually decorated... this is the most we've ever done haha

Now with the pumpkins added

Rose, trying on her Milli dress (she was Milly from Team Umizoomi)

Isaac in his Geo costume (from Team Umizoomi)

Final costume...wouldn't keep the hat on, of course

Milli and Geo from Team Umizoomi!

These are who they are dressed up as

This was how most of our pictures came out....wiggle worms!

Isaac's candy stash! (Rose stayed home with daddy)

The second time they went Trick or treating was at Zack's 7th birthday party. Rose was supposed to go with everyone in the stroller but passed out right before leaving, so she stayed home with Kara's mom (Zack's grandma)

Our gift to Zack :) plus $$

Signing Happy Birthday. The cake was made by Katie :)

Isaac and some of his cousins getting ready to Trick or Treat

Ready to go! He had on about 4 layers of clothes haha. It was cold!

Some of the other kids who were with us. We had 20 kids ages 7 and under.

Running to the first house

The ambulance put their lights on, ran the sirens, talked on the speaker, and handed out candy!

 More kids!

 Fun times

That's about it! It was a blast being able to trick or treat with all the kids!
