Happy 2nd Birthday Jake!!!
The party was pretty fun. It was held at Luke and Mary's house and since it was nice weather, it was held outdoors. With three kids, they have lots of outdoor toys to play with along with a friendly neighbor/friend that took all the kids on a tractor ride!
Playing on a Bumblebee Car
Excited to go down the slide!
Getting ready to go down the slide again
Hanging out in a wagon
Isaac and Marissa giving/receiving kisses! TOO CUTE!
With Uncle Tony on the tractor ride!
Only the guys went with the kids.
This was the closest to a cousin group shot we have,
minus Caleb and including a few others :)
Isaac had a great time and he's a trooper with all the driving we do. Five hours Friday night to PA, hour and a half to the party (each way) on Saturday, then another five hours on Sunday back home. Our trick? Well, when we leave to PA, we leave late so he sleeps most of the way. On the way back, we make sure we have TONS of snacks.
There is another party this Friday for his cousin Madison. I won't be able to make it due to work, but on Thursday, Deb is taking Isaac with her to PA and they will be gone until Sunday. I have no idea what I'm going to do without Isaac AND Matt around.. probably clean the house and sleep haha.
Anyways, while we were at Jake's party, we gave Madison her birthday gift as well:
Happy 2nd Birthday to Madison! (a little early)
So evenings here have been really nice. So nice in fact, that after dinner every night, we go outside and play for at least an hour. Tonight, we broke out the bubbles and then played on the play area.
Bubbles!
He can basically go up the ladder all by himself.
However this time, mommy helped him.
Checking things out
Slide!
He went down slide, by himself, head first!
Checking out the climbing wall.
Not quite ready to tackle that yet though.
Just a cute pic of my little man
He went back to playing bubbles with Grandma Deb
And let's not forget, the random splashing of the pool water, and getting himself all wet.
Oh, he's also turned into a little parrot. For some reason I didn't think he would start this until closer to 2, but if I ask him to say something he will usually try and say it back, sometimes successful. Some new words:
outside (ow-dye) - this is chanted to me as we come in from playing. he does NOT like ending outside time!

strawberry (saw-berr-ee)

There might be more, I am not sure. He says so much and probably says words at daycare that I don't realize he says. Like bubbles.. he knew exactly what they were and says the word so clearly.
Oh and last but not least.. he gives kisses!!! I love this!!!
