14 Weeks Old!

14 weeks old. wow!

Here are some pictures from today. You can tell his eye color is changing to a lighter blue now and you can see the color in most of the pictures :)

There is no denying it.. this boy is growing and learning new things every day! He recently started trying to sit up.. we will place him on our laps, leaning against us and then he will push himself forward so that he is sitting up. I think pretty soon he will be sitting up on his own! He also LOVES to stand! He'll be laying on his back and we grab his hands and say "Wanna stand?" and lift him. He usually smiles and squeals while holding onto us and standing (very wobbly though).


He's doing really good at Daycare too. He loves to sit and watch the kids play and sometimes they even get to help feed and burp him. He also naps 2-3hrs at a time while the other kids are running around playing... it's all white-noise to him. Unfortunately, the lady who watches now him can only take him temporarily so I have an interview with another daycare person on Tuesday.

We have plans to go to the Sandbar with Liv and Noah today. I wont promise pictures because whenever I do, I always end up forgetting the camera or just dont end up taking any haha!

3 Month Pediatrician appointment

So Daddy took Isaac to his appointment today. This kid GREW this past month!!!

He currently weighs 13lbs 11oz and is 24.75 inches tall.. which explains why most of his clothes are fitting short on him haha

He got two shots. He's a little fussy but otherwise doing good :)

13 Weeks Old!

Just a quick picture update with pictures of Isaac from today after Daycare. He loves it when I sniff his feet and say "P.U!". He just gets the BIGGEST grin on his face! I tried to capture that grin:

That last one is the closest I got to his big grin...which is maybe half the size!!

3 Months Old!

Isaac is 3 months old! You know what that means..... PICTURE TIME!!!

As usual, we took pictures of him with his panda bear (pay no mind to the fact that his outfit changes... the first one got soaked with drool haha)

Isaac's first day of Daycare!

The report came back that Isaac did really well yesterday! He napped off and on all day though, which I know makes things easier haha. But she said that he only really cried when he got hungry. The other times when he was awake, he would watch the older kids play and smile and talk/coo at them. I kinda wish I was there so I could take pictures lol!

She said that the older kids all loved him and they all wanted to play and hold him. Her 2yr old daughter even got to feed him (which is good to hear because we were afraid she would have jealousy issues).

Of course, when he got home he was cranky. Typical though :)

He's back at daycare now for Day #2. Lets hope he has another good day there!

12 Weeks Old!

Has it really been 12 weeks since Isaac was born???

I'd say it hasn't but apparently the calendar doesn't lie. :(

Time really is going by fast... well, the days seem to drag on sometimes, but the overall time has gone by rather quickly. Funny how that happens...

So because it has been 12 weeks since he was born that means two things...
1. I am back at work!
2. He is at daycare.. for 8 whole hours!

It sucked dropping him off.. I just hope today goes by fast so that I can leave and go get him! I know he is in very capable hands but still.. 8hrs away is just a looooong time. I hope he behaves and doesn't cry too much..

He did surprise me this morning though... by sleeping for 9 straight hours! I couldn't believe it! He nursed at 8pm last night, in bed by 9 and did not wake up until 6:15am this morning! I, however, was awake at 3:30am, expecting him to wake up "any minute now". Now lets see if this was a fluke or if it's his new sleep schedule! :)

When he woke up though, he was in a very wierd spot in his crib... every night I place him in the middle in his sleep positioner, with a recieving blanket over his legs and up to his tummy only. This morning, I found him like this:

All the up against the bumper.. feet up against the end of the crib.. his head in the sleep positioner... and his blanket along side him! (And very grumpy because mommy was taking pictures instead of picking him up haha). Do you see that square mat, next to his positioner? That's where his head is at when I lay him down at night.. so you can see just how much he moved!

First real laugh!

So for a while now Isaac has been on the verge of laughing out loud. Well today he FINALLY did it!!!

Matt was doing curls with him (holding him in a laying down position and lifting up and down from him face) and he was giving us big smiles. Well I decided to add in some tickling to his sides and after a few times a let out a HUGE squeal!

Of course we didn't get it on camera (who knows when things like that will happen??) but hopefully next time we do that we can get it on video for you all!
