Silly Smiles, Pasta and learning new things!

It may just be me, but it seems as if Isaac learns new things every day.

The past few weeks alone he has learned the following words:
"Oh Boy"
"Uh-oh"
"Go"
"Teeth"
"Sock"
"Shoe"
"Cup" - he says this at daycare, I have yet to hear it

He will do animal sounds for doggy, kitty, monkey, and duck...though sometimes he gets stuck on the dog one and goes "woof" to all the animals.. so I tend to ask "what does a doggy say?" for last now haha.

He knows where his foot is, and that his socks and shoes go on them. He knows where his mouth is and we're working on ears, nose and eyes. If you ask him if he wants to brush his teeth, he'll point to his teeth.

His daycare provider has been helping him with eating from plates/bowls and not dumping them (though he still does, at our house and at hers, but he's getting there).

He's also learned how to throw tantrums, especially when being told no or something is taken away, or he is being blocked from doing something.. like going through a cupboard we don't have locked, such as the lazy-Suzanne.

He's lucky he's cute ;)

He loves boxes too, and realized they are cool things to hang out in.
So far, he hasn't noticed that daddy threw this away.. but dont worry, I'm sure we'll get more next time we go to Costco.

Whenever I get the camera out, he starts doing this really funny smiling face
 Cheesy face

 Over-exaggerated smiley face

Squinty face

He also likes to follow the doggy around, with doggy toys, to give to Theo.

Spacing out, playing with his tongue.

And last but not least... Isaac eating pasta for dinner. He turn's orange when he does this... :)

And for fun, some pictures of my new haircut that I got yesterday!

That's all folks!

Cherry Blossom Festival Parade, bathtime, and lots of silliness

Last weekend, the three of us took a train into D.C. to watch the Cherry Blossom Festival Parade. The weather was cold (in the 50's) and it looked like it was threatening rain, but it really wasn't a bad experience overall.  We even met the Lings there, which is always fun!

Here are just a few pictures of Isaac at the parade.. if you want to see more pictures of the actual parade, they are uploaded to my Facebook page here:

Not quite sure what Isaac thought of the parade. He paid attention for the most part, but didn't really know what we were talking about haha. The most interesting part of the parade, was when a car pulling a band, caught on fire! It kind of stopped the parade for a bit, and the kids were hungry (not to mention cold) so we decide to head out and get some lunch.

Below are random pictures during the rest of the weekend and this week. Lots of them are full of a silly little boy!

He's still obsessed with wheels... must be a boy thing

It was his paci's turn for a ride on his push car apparently

Isaac waiting for his doggie to come back in

 Looks like a stare-down!

"Charge!" -- at least that's what it seems like he should say!

Uh-oh.. he has mommy's cell phone

Hmm..wonder who he is texting this time

 drinking milk before bed

 Mouth full of milk

Wiping his mouth with a clean towel he found in the hamper

 Funny face!

 Running away and laughing

More funny faces

And last but not least.. some updated bath time pictures! He still loves his bath..especially water being poured over his head!

All clean!

Mommy's birthday, dryer sheets, and no more bottles!

So last Wednesday was my 29th birthday. Matt suprised me with this after dinner:

It was a red velvet cake. Soo yummy! He also got me Chick-fil-A for dinner (I had been wanting this for forever!) and he bought me Tangled and Bambie on blue ray :) Overall, a good birthday!

Isaac is sooooo silly most of the time. This past weekend, I was folding laundry and he got a hold of the dryer sheet. At first, he was "cleaning" with it.. rubbing it along Matt's chair, the couches, his toys, the baby gate.... Then after he got bored of that, he decided to take it for a spin in his push car.

This was taken after he was "cleaning" things with it

Pushing the dryer sheet around on his push car
I tried to get him to smile.. this is what I got!

He was tired and laying on the floor, waiting to go to bed

He is also about 99% off of bottles! The only time he gets a bottle is if he wakes up in the middle of the night and cant/wont fall back asleep on his own. He wont take anything else beside a bottle or he screams. This only happens rarely though.

Drinking from one of his sippy cups before bed

ready to run off and play

Playing with his puzzle that Noah gave him for his birthday :)

He walks most of the time now. He hasn't learned how to get up from a sitting position, so he usually crawls to something that he climb up on and then he take off walking. I dont have any new pictures of him walking though, sorry! Maybe next week :)
