27 Weeks pictures

Not too much to update this week.
His tooth has come through a bit more but we'll wait on trying to get pictures until later. Just now I have to remember that I cant let him gnaw on my fingers anymore.. that little tooth is SHARP!

As far as food goes, he has had yams/sweet potatoes and he likes the yams best. He also had applesauce and likes that as well :) We still have to try peas, pears, squash, green-beans, and avocado... lots more :)

Tooth!

So Isaac's first tooth FINALLY cut through! It's barely above the surface but it's there. We tried taking pictures but since its still level with his gums it's very hard to see (not to mention trying to get his mouth open and his tongue out of the way haha)

Doesn't mean we didn't attempt to get a picture of it though! See if you can spot it (Hint: click on the images to make them bigger)

6 Months old!!!

I can't believe Isaac is HALF A YEAR OLD already!!! In another 6 months we'll be planning his 1st birthday party!

I don't have any new stats for him yet, as his doctors appointment isn't until Sept 10th.. It WAS supposed to be today (the 23rd) but they had to re-schedule.

But I can still list the things he can do and what all we have been up too :)

He can sit up, unsupported, for a good length of time. There are times when he's wobbly and falls over, or when he gets tired of sitting up he just falls forward or to the side. He'd much rather be sitting up then doing anything else, and that includes tummy time. He still fusses while on his tummy but he will also play with toys for a bit too.. it all depends on his temperment.

He still goes from tummy to belly just fine, and CAN go from back to belly, but usually only does that at night to sleep. I think he's only done it once or twice during the day when reaching for a toy but went right back to his back or he started fussing because he doesn't want to be on his belly haha

He is not crawling, but he can kind of move in a circle when on his tummy. I think crawling (probably army crawling) will happen before his 7th month though.

He's eating solid foods a bit better now. He's a pro at eating rice cereal. He loves bananas (we just mash them up, no jarred stuff). He wasn't a fan of jarred carrots, but I'm going to make my own and see if he'll take them. We baked a sweet potato (not a yam) and he tollerated it, but I think it was too starchy for him. I'm going to try an actual yam later this week. We also gave him fresh peas.. we just took off the casing and the pod inside is split in two..we gave him one half at a time and he mashed it himself with his mouth.

He still babbles and has recently started babbling "ba-ba-ba-ba". He isn't associating it to anything, just saying it, but now I'm always saying "ma-ma"or "da-da" to him in hopes he will say it back some time :)

He also LOVES to stick out his tongue! (as I am sure you have seen in some of the pictures I have posted)

And now, on to pictures! There were all taken yesterday, 8/22. We have the usual ones with him and his panda bear, but then I also wanted to get some with him at the beach.

Finally bigger then his panda bear! Though I think he was as big, or bigger last month, but it was hard to tell because he was slouching/leaning. Now that he can sit up, you can REALLY see the difference!

Just some pictures - last set for 5 months old!

Just a small post with pictures of the last few days of Isaac. Can't believe he will be 6 months old tomorrow!

First time using his high chair. It's one of those space saver ones that attach to a regular chair. We gave  him one of those Mum mum crackers. He wasn't too fond of it haha

25 Weeks old!

Just a little update for his 25th week :)

We worked on sitting up a lot over the weekend. He was doing really good to! I think at one point, he was sitting up for 10 minutes without falling over (wobbly, yes, but he didn't fall).

We also tried mashing some bananas into his rice cereal, which he actually ate! And we also gave him some frozen peach slices and let him suck on that through a mesh feeder :) This way he gets both a cold teether and a serving of fruit in one shot!

We also picked up a shopping cart cover that also doubles as high chair cover while at restaurants.  We have yet to use it but I hope to test it out soon!

Checking out the grass. I had originally put him directly onto the grass, but it was very hard and I think it poked him too much. So I used one of the small blankets I owned. He wasn't impressed with the green stuff haha

These last 5 were taken at the Ling's house. We went over there to water their lawn while they are out of town. I sent these same pictures to Noah (in a letter from Isaac) saying that he cant wait for him to return so that they could play together.
