Hotel life and moving

Once we got to Hawaii, we started our adventure in hotel living. We stayed at the Navy Lodge on Ford Island and we had a little kitchenette (fridge, 2-range stove and microwave, no oven) so we were able to cook a little instead of going out every night. It was had two rooms, a living room area with a pull-out couch and then a bedroom area with two queen beds. Isaac slept on the pull-out couch because Rose still wakes up at night and we didnt want him getting woken up. The arrangement worked well.
There was a pretty big playground that we went too a few times a day. We realized that around 6 every night was when lots of people came out with their kids so we made sure to go out around then so that the kids can interact and play with other kids. We even met a few families that our kids got a long with and exchanged numbers.

We had our name on the Hickam wait list and according to their site, we were number 38/208 and the number didnt really waver too much over the past two weeks. We looked at housing through the Navy and we found one that we liked (from the outside and neighborhood area, but we couldn't see the inside yet). We couldn't move in until May 7th, which meant a few more weeks of waiting in the hotel, but at least we had a place in site so we tentatively agreed to take the house. It was over at Pearl City Peninsula which was about 10-15minute drive from Hickam. A few days later, Matt went to Hickam to take our name off the wait-list and the lady asked "What about house we have offered you?". We never got a call about a house so we didn't know they had a place for us. We were able to look at it and we decided to take that house, officially, and were able to move in that Friday (April 27th).

On our way to Hawaii!

Rose all comfy on the flight

Isaac drew this all by himself :)

He actually passed out for a bit on the flight!

At the hotel, the kids liked to stand on the window sill
and watch people (dont worry, the window cannot open)

Park next to the hotel we played at a few times a day

Nightly ritual, jumping and playing on the pull-out couch

Matt created two pop-corn loving monsters!

At the Utah Memorial, and it just started raining.

 Silly hair-do for Rosie

They were sitting on the couch and Isaac asked me to take a picture,
So I did :)

 Trying to dress herself

Playing outside one morning

Passed out on the floor after going to the park

Kids flying a kite with Daddy

At another park near our hotel, but they have the kid swings, which they both love

 Rose swinging

 Sweaty hair haha

Isaac passed out on the couch, a rarity!

Rose was throwing a tantrum one morning because Matt left without her

Isaac and Brielle meet again! Last time they saw each other, they were 9months old

 Our messy, messy eater

 First time at the beach!

Not too sure about the sand

 Playing in the sand

Matt trying to show Rose the water

Cute picture, but she was terrified

I don't have anymore pics of the beach, mostly because we didn't want to get sand or water in the camera. Isaac took a bit to warm up to the water, but eventually he liked to walk in up to chest (with us, of course). Rose basically clung to us the whole time, still unsure of the whole beach seen.

Her hair was in a top-knot but she took it out and her hair stayed up.

Was playing around with her hair and having fun :)
Pig tails!

Being silly (and apparently stole Rose's paci)

 Another silly top-knot

He asked for his picture to be taken and then he made this face

She woke up early one morning and wouldnt
go back to sleep so we put her to bed with us
and then she slept in, while in our queen bed.

She has enough hair for a pony tail!

 Eating apple-sauce by herself

 Being silly with his spoon

Cuddling on the couch together and being nice
For about 30-seconds haha

Moving day and we had to get up early to meet
the movers at the house... kids didn't want to get up haha

Our place. Only one side of the garage is ours (van is parked in-front of it)

 Living room area

Soon to be dining room/office/play area

 Kitchen

 Laundry room and storage

 Rose and guest room

 Isaac's room

 Master room

Kids playing on electronics... Isaac is on Matt's tablet and Rose is using my phone

Watching the movers while sitting in their chairs, eating a snack haha

The past weekend and week have been unpacking and getting everything sorted and put away. We're finally starting to get settled in and have finished most of the downstairs and the kids rooms. We still need to finish up the master room and hang up all of our pictures. Once everything is good to go, we will post pictures of the whole house, all finished up.
