A trip to Susanville!

Last week, the four of us took a trip out to Susanville for my birthday. I hadn't been back home in about 5years so it was good to visit :)

Be prepared, there is 96 photos and 1 video in this post!

The trip started early Monday morning (3/26). We woke Isaac up at 4am, asking if he wanted to go on an air plane. He jumped up, wide awake, and said "Yes!". He was very excited to be going on an airplane. Good thing too, because our first flight was 4.5hrs and the second was an hour.

In his own seat like a big boy

Rose slept most of the flights

Watching movies on the DVD player to help
pass the time. He did VERY well on the way
over to CA. Even a lady behind us on the
4.5hr flight commented on how well he did.

Grandpa Ed took us to In-n-Out when we
got to Reno and bought Isaac a chocolate shake.
Can you say SPOILED?? haha

After we went to In-n-Out, we visited Grandma Lucy at the hospital for about 2 hours (she was having gallbladder issues and was in the hospital for a week. She was scheduled to have her gallbladder removed the day after we arrived).

After visiting Grandma Lucy, we made the 1.5hr drive to Susanville. The rest of the day we basically relaxed after a long traveling day.

All pictures below are from the week long trip. Some are from our camera, some from my parents and some from the cell phone.

He liked playing with the doggy door

Watching Shrek with one of the dogs, Shadow.
This dog LOVES watching TV. He actually tried
moving Isaac out of the way a few times.

Chilling in the bouncer her grandparents got her for while we visited.
She loves the toys on there but would get mad that shouldnt get them
to her mouth, so I hung a longer toy for her to grab and chew on.

 Shadow checking out Rose.

Grandpa Ed decided to take a nap too :)

Isaac with Grandpa Ed and the dogs, Silver and Shadow

Rose hanging out with Grandpa Ed. I also have a video of
her laughing with him that is at the bottom of this post.

So Isaac will randomly say "bon-bons" and we no idea why! My dad said it's because he wants some bon-bons (even though Isaac has no clue what they are). So of course, Grandpa had to go out and buy him these icecream dots, which is the closest to bon-bons he could find. Isaac ate about 4 of them then started only eating the chocolate and putting the ice cream part on he table haha

Trying out a home made crocheted headband
with interchangeable bows from a friend of ours

Just some pretty pictures of Rose with another bow/headband.

She was being fussy so I was making fun of her lol

She fell asleep on her Uncle Joey

Isaac playing with a baby doll that Abuela sent for Rose.
And yes. He's undressing the doll and saying
"Naked!" while doing so.

On the morning of my birthday :) Such a happy baby!

Eating French Toast. He was trying to cut his with
his fork like I was doing with mine.

Birthday breakfast!

Getting both kids ready to head out to watch Uncle Joey play baseball.
Wearing a new shirt from Abuela and Abuelo.

It was COLD and windy during the game.
Isaac kept warm though by running around everywhere haha

The day after my birthday it SNOWED! We got a few inches throughout the day. We didn't bring Isaac's winter jacket, but lucky for us, Abuela had bought him one and was at the house waiting for us. I think she KNEW we would need it!

In the jacket from Abuela and Abuelo

 In the snow!

Rose stayed inside with us :) She didn't mind

That night, my parents hosted a dinner/party for me for my 30th birthday and some of my friends were able to come. The house was quite full now that some of us are married and have kids! haha Those that attended were: Samantha with her 4 kids, Austyn, Luci, Konnor, and Josh, plus her boyfriend, Dan; Tiffany with her husband Randall and 8month old daughter Ryleigh; Erin and Dan; and Monika (her boyfriend couldn't come). Plus there was my parents, my brother, my aunt Debbie, and us four of course.

He is at the "roll it up" part if you couldn't tell.
Later that day, me, Matt and the kids drove to Reno to meet up with the other set of grandparents, Grandma Teresa and Papa Mikee, for lunch and a bit of hanging out. We ate lunch at Johnny Rockets inside the Grand Sierra Resort (which used to be the Hilton) then hung out in the arcade for a bit. Isaac had a blast!

Oh and here is the video I promised!

The last night there, we stayed in Reno with Grandma Lucy and Aunt Debbie (though in our own room) since our flight was at 6:30am. We ate dinner at the buffet at Harrah's (where we stayed at) then walked over to Circus Circus and got a few more stuffed animals for the kids haha.

Another long day of traveling later, we were finally back in Maryland. Isaac barely slept all day so getting him to bed at 8:30pm EST wasn't hard at all and both kids went back to their regular sleeping schedule within a day.

Other things that happened that I don't have pictures of:
~Met up with Tiffany with her daughter at the park the second day there. The park had a play area that looked like a fire truck and Isaac LOVED it. He asked to go back almost every day after but unfortunately, we weren't able to, either due to a busy schedule or the weather.
~Went to Frosty Mill for lunch on the third day and Curtis got to meet Matt and the kids.
~Went to see Erin's parents, Mike and Kathy, on Wednesday and got there just Erin and Dan arrived as well. They have pictures on their camera but I forgot ours, Oops!

The trip was super fun and seemed to go by too fast! We'll be back next year for Joey's high school graduation!
