Fort McHenry and Pumpkin Patch Time!

This past weekend we actually went out and did stuff since the weather wasn't too horrible.

On Saturday, we went to Fort McHenry, which is the fort that was bombed all night and inspired the song "The Star Spangled Banner".

We walked around for a bit with Isaac in his stroller then let him loose. He had fun :)

This room echo's, so Matt and Isaac went in there howl like wolves.

 Chasing a butterfly.

Then on Sunday, we went to check out one of the pumpkin patches we heard about. I think Isaac had fun. He got to ride a pony, go into the petting zoo (it had a few goats, some chickens, and some bunnies in cages),  then we wandered around looking at other animals. But the actual pumpkin patch part wasn't that great... it was a small area with pumpkins the size of softballs. So we ended up going to another place to pick out a pumpkin.

We got one pumpkin here and then another one at a store, which we plan on carving this upcoming weekend. We will also have some company this weekend as well (Mr. and Mrs. B!) and Isaac has an appointment to have a hair cut! More picture to come next week.

Oh, also, 8 more weeks until my due date! Eeep!

Big Boy Bed & Baby Girl's Room

Well, it's starting. We're trying to attempt to transition Isaac from baby to Big Boy. First step, getting him a Big Boy Bed. We ordered a twin mattress from Sears last weekend and it was delivered to us on Monday. It looks so much bigger then his crib!

We decided to wait until bedtime to show him his new bed. Mostly because Matt had a football game after work and wouldn't be home until then, and also because I was afraid he wouldn't want to leave his room.

I'm glad we did though, because his reaction was too cute!

 Woah! His very own bed!

Daddy asked him if he wanted up and he was all excited

 Checking out the new bed

 Just a cute picture :)

That first night, I laid down in bed with him and he actually fell asleep in his new bed! The only problem is that we didn't have any bedrails, so I had to switch him to his crib. We finally got bed rails on Wednesday, but both last night and tonight, he didn't fall asleep like he did before. I think we changed up bedtime routine too much too fast, so tomorrow I will go back to how our bedtime routine was but instead of putting him in his crib, I will put him in his bed. We still have a few more months (well, 9ish weeks) until we need the crib, so we still have a bit more time :)

This past weekend we also started getting the baby's room ready. We moved everything out of Matt's office and then he painted it over the weekend. It went from a baby blue to a pretty purple color :) I have some pictures, but they really don't do the color justice.. it looks much better in person.

Some "after" pictures

This weekend we are going to try and find a pumpkin patch to go to. Hopefully we will get some cool pictures from there :)
