Weekend fun!

This weekend was just Isaac and mommy time! Though Isaac's been a little cranky lately (I'm thinking teething, but I honestly don't know because he's more crankier then he's ever been), it was fun.

Saturday morning we spent being lazy, watching cartoons and playing with toys... and mommy's socks!

 Talking with Theo

He rarely watches TV but this time, he decided
to get a comfy seat and watch some cartoons.

I put my socks on his feet. He loved it!

Resting on the couch...still with my socks on

He kept walking around, looking at his
feet and didn't want to take them off.

Later on Saturday, the Lings came over for dinner and for some pool play time! Pics below are of Isaac and Noah in our kiddie pool that Grandma Deb got Isaac while she was here.

Sunday was even more lazier. I wasn't feeling too good (still not sure if I ate something that didn't agree with me, or if it was lingering morning sickness) and Isaac didn't seem to be feeling good as well. We did play outside for a while though and while out there, our neighbor son, Jacoby, was mowing their yard. Isaac kept trying to look through the fence to watch him. It was too cute!

He's such a nosy neighbor hehe. Actually they are really good friends of ours :) Jacoby (and his uncle) even came over and did OUR lawn on Sunday.

That's really about it. On Friday Isaac has his well-child check up at the doctors for his 16month (I kinda forgot about his 15th month one, so we are making it up this month).

Friday is also when Matt comes back! Though Isaac probably wont see him until Saturday morning since it will be late when he gets here. We'll also be in PA for the 4th of July weekend :) Should be lots of fun!

As far as pregnancy goes, things are going well. I turned 14weeks last week so I am officially in the second trimester! Next appointment is July 7th

Isaac goes to PA.. by himself!

Well this last weekend was definitely an interesting one. Deb took Isaac to Pennsylvania for the weekend, all by himself. Madison's birthday party happening on Friday that I couldn't attend, but that didn't mean Deb and Isaac couldn't go (and Isaac's daycare was closed on Friday due to a vacation the family was taking, so I had no one to watch him if he stayed home). That left mommy with a very empty and quiet house for THREE WHOLE DAYS!

Everyone was saying I should go on a shopping spree.. get my hair cut.. get my nails done.. go to a spa.. go to the movies..

Ya.. Want to know what I did? I cleaned. The whole house. It really needed it and I was able to take my time and not have to worry about a 1yr old being around chemicals, or having to try and get everything squeezed in during his nap times. I felt very accomplished and loved seeing my house picked up and clean.

I did do a bit of shopping on Sunday, but that was as Target and was mainly getting things for the house haha I did go to the Lings for dinner though, which was nice since I hadn't seen them in almost a month!

Throughout the weekend, I got daily updates and I even got to Skype with Isaac once as well. Turns out, he barely even noticed I was gone. He gave no issues with bed times or nap times. He did excellent on all car trips. I'm glad he did so well! Makes me feel much better :)

They returned on Sunday, very late at night. He slept until almost 9:30 the next morning haha

Since they were gone this past weekend, I didn't have any pictures for this week's post.. so I got out the camera this evening  and got a few cute ones to show off :)

 He's such a ham!

He's finally playing with the car ramp toy we got him for Christmas...
but instead of using cars, he was using Easter eggs.

This is his "cheese!" face.. whice he says all on his own when he sees the camera now.

 "Dada!"

Giving he picture of daddy a kiss

Having bath time with Grandma Deb

 "Quack quack!"

 Laughing at Grandma

 Just a silly face

 Reading a book before bed

All clean and ready for bed!

Last week I listed some new words that Isaac was saying and I have a few more to add:
spin (pronounced like "pin")
window (pronounced like "win-oh")
Jimmy (pronounced like "mimmy")
Danny (pronounced like "mammy")
Dendy (our neighbor's name)
Cheese (he says this when he see's the camera now, all on his own! It's not a new word but a new thing he does and it doesn't refer to food)

Well that's about it! Tomorrow Isaac goes back to daycare and Grandma Deb goes home. It was great having her here and helping out! And next Friday, on July 1st, Matt comes home!!!!!!!!!! YAY! :)

Birthdays, birthday, birthdays... & Bubbles!

So even though Matt has been in Alabama (only three more weeks to go!), we've sure been busy. Work during the weekdays and so far we have gone to Pennsylvania twice. First time was during Memorial Day weekend for the family getogether, then last weekend when we went for Jake's 2nd birthday party!

Happy 2nd Birthday Jake!!!

The party was pretty fun. It was held at Luke and Mary's house and since it was nice weather, it was held outdoors. With three kids, they have lots of outdoor toys to play with along with a friendly neighbor/friend that took all the kids on a tractor ride!

 Playing on a Bumblebee Car

Excited to go down the slide!

Getting ready to go down the slide again

 Hanging out in a wagon

Isaac and Marissa giving/receiving kisses! TOO CUTE!

With Uncle Tony on the tractor ride!
Only the guys went with the kids.

This was the closest to a cousin group shot we have,
minus Caleb and including a few others :)

Isaac had a great time and he's a trooper with all the driving we do. Five hours Friday night to PA, hour and a half to the party (each way) on Saturday, then another five hours on Sunday back home. Our trick? Well, when we leave to PA, we leave late so he sleeps most of the way. On the way back, we make sure we have TONS of snacks.

There is another party this Friday for his cousin Madison. I won't be able to make it due to work, but on Thursday, Deb is taking Isaac with her to PA and they will be gone until Sunday. I have no idea what I'm going to do without Isaac AND Matt around.. probably clean the house and sleep haha.

Anyways, while we were at Jake's party, we gave Madison her birthday gift as well:
Happy 2nd Birthday to Madison! (a little early)

So evenings here have been really nice. So nice in fact, that after dinner every night, we go outside and play for at least an hour. Tonight, we broke out the bubbles and then played on the play area.

 Bubbles!

He can basically go up the ladder all by himself.
However this time, mommy helped him.

 Checking things out

 Slide!

He went down slide, by himself, head first!

 Checking out the climbing wall.
Not quite ready to tackle that yet though.

Just a cute pic of my little man

He went back to playing bubbles with Grandma Deb

And let's not forget, the random splashing of the pool water, and getting himself all wet.

Oh, he's also turned into a little parrot. For some reason I didn't think he would start this until closer to 2, but if I ask him to say something he will usually try and say it back, sometimes successful. Some new words:

outside (ow-dye) - this is chanted to me as we come in from playing. he does NOT like ending outside time!
up
down
strawberry (saw-berr-ee)
noodle
happy
Isaac/Ikey
Coby (short for Jacoby, which is Josiah's older brother)
bubbles

There might be more, I am not sure. He says so much and probably says words at daycare that I don't realize he says. Like bubbles.. he knew exactly what they were and says the word so clearly.

Oh and last but not least.. he gives kisses!!! I love this!!!

Making new friends

Isaac
Well not too much has been happening around here lately. I work, Isaac goes to daycare, and Deb comes to hang out with us to keep us company and help out. Matt is still in Alabama, going to class and doing homework. Only three more weeks (give or take a few days) until he returns!

Isaac is his silly self. Here he is taking off one of the bibs that go over his head... we don't use these ones as much anymore.

It's been pretty hot here (hottest was shown at 99, but weather.com says it "feels like 104"... so why not just say its 104? I don't get it..)

But on cooler evenings, we do try and go outside to play after dinner, something Isaac LOVES to do and throws a major fit when it's time to come in.

Somtimes our neighbors come over and bring their 2 1/2yr old, Josiah.

These are just some random pics I took of Isaac.. something I never tire of doing!

Before going to bed the other night...
you can tell he looks tired haha

All ready for daycare. I love this new outfit too!

This evening, we watched Josiah for a bit while his parents, Dendy and Daniel, needed to do some stuff around the house. The boys get along pretty good.

Pregnancy #2
I had an OB appointment on Monday. Everything is going well. I got to listen to the baby's heartbeat which was in the 150's this time. I also apparently lost about 4lbs, which is funny because according to our scale at home, I've gained 2-4lbs. They also changed my due date from December 20th to December 21st. She said that they went back and looked at the dating sonogram and recalculated and that's the date they came up with and on my record. It's getting closer and closer to Christmas!

So according to this new due date, I am now officially 12 weeks! Woohoo!
